| Client Profile |
| |
| GWI, based in Vancouver, Washington, is one of the leading helpdesk software companies.
In business for over 10 years, the company has won many industry awards and accolades as
a leader in its domain. GWI was twice named to the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies,
the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 and Fast 500 listings. |
| |
| The Challenge |
| |
| GWI was looking to broaden the reach of its software by expanding it to more platforms
(.Net, Java), and by enhancing its existing Notes based products for the newer Lotus
Notes/Domino versions. It wanted to do it in a
cost-effective way to allow the company to invest
in R&D, marketing, and business development. |
| |
| The Solution |
| |
| Pi Sigma provided its expert offshore teams for
outsourced Lotus Notes product development
to GWI. GWI was able to bring new versions of
its award-winning product c.Support’s newer versions to market on newer platforms
of Notes (R5 and R6). Pi Sigma’s Lotus certified team developed the solution
in Domino v5.x and v6.x, Lotus Sametime, Java, and C/C++ APIs. The next solution was a successful implementation of
the product on the Microsoft .Net platform. Utilizing the Microsoft .Net framework, ASP and C# .Net, XML, and MS SQL Server,
Pi Sigma’s team helped a successful and on-time release of a complex product - one of the first of its kind in the market - in
2002. |
| |
| Business Value and Benefits |
| |
| Outsourcing relationship with Pi Sigma allowed GWI to bring its Notes and .Net products to market faster and more costeffectively.
It allowed the company to continue its tradition of innovation and leadership during challenging times for IT. |
| |
| Testimonials |
| "During our relationship we have found
Pi Sigma to be flexible, knowledgeable and cost
effective. We would not have been as successful
moving our products forward during the recent
US economic downturn if not for this
relationship." |
